As the world entering into the new digital age, more and more information and data become available to us in digital form. With no exceptions, traditional Buddhist text have also been transformed into digital in the last couple of decades in large quantities, such as the Korana Tripitaka digital canon, the CBETA digital canon, etc. At the meantime, the question of how to better use the huge amount of digital data starts to sound louder and louder.
The “BlueDots” project of ECAI Central is amount the efforts to find answers to the question. Using the Korana Tripitaka digital canon as its test data, the “BlueDots” project is trying to fine new ways of analyzing the text data in the backend, as well as visualizing and exploring at the front, under the web environment.
Current conceptual and theoretical ideas and models behind the project will be presented, and a working pilot “BlueDots” system will be demonstrated.
